The Taiji Ruler Course

Dynamic movement, controlled breathing, and internal focus — with a wooden ruler as your guide.

An established tradition

What is the Taiji Ruler?

The Taiji Ruler Form is an established Chinese Taiji/Qigong tradition that weaves together dynamic movement, controlled breathing, and internal focus — with a wooden ruler as the practice aid. The ruler is not a weapon, and this is not a weapon form: it extends and focuses your awareness, giving the body something tangible to circle, coil, and center around.

The complete form

All four sections — Vertical Circling, Horizontal Circling, Embrace Ball Stepping, and the form’s crown jewel, the Coiling Ruler — plus the opening, closing, and every centering transition between.

Step-by-step guidance

Nine modules and more than thirty short lessons take you from your very first stance to the complete continuous form — no prior experience needed.

A practice for life

Breath, movement, and internal focus woven into one daily practice — and a deepening path that carries you from knowing the form to living the form.
